CTI Q & A

Q: What is the purpose for CTI?

A: To ensure that ministerial leaders of the Church of God by Faith obtain quality education to rightly divide the word of truth and to effectively minister, evangelize and pastor members of the church.

Q: Why must every currently enrolled student register, upload a letter of reference and pay the application fee?

A: Every change in the academic preparation of ministers in the COGBF has been made with the singular purpose of enhancing the preparedness of candidates to do the work of the Lord. The programs are more rigorous, more expensive to administer and students will have to pay their share of the expenses — just as they do at other academic institutions.

Q: Why should I pay for the courses?

A: CTI invested in the specific educational and meeting software to facilitate enrollment, on-line instructions and course management to ensure that student have the best learning experience possible. Your financial support ensures that all CTI systems and software packages are operational.

Q: Why yearlong courses versus convention based seminars?

A: To provide a plethora of courses over a two to four year period that will challenge the up-and-coming ministers and elders of the Church of God by Faith.  However, seminars and intensive two-day courses will be offered at the National Assembly meetings.  When these courses are offered, students must enroll into classes through CTI prior to attendance to the assembly meetings.

Q: Can my spouse take the course with me on-line and receive credit later if he or she enrolls in CTI?

A: No. Your spouse will have to earn the certification on his or her own merit.

Q: What courses will be offered at the Impact Conference and who will teach them?

A: We will offer four required seminar sessions at the Summer Impact Conference.  The cost of all of them together is $50 plus the $15 Technology Fee. Only students who are accepted in CTI may attend. The deadline for the Impact Seminars registration is July 5, 2016.
